Shine a Spotlight on ALS with "Go On, Be Brave"

Witness the incredible true story of the first person with ALS to complete a marathon in all 50 states in the heartwarming and award-winning documentary.

Before ALS altered her life's trajectory at 33 years old, Andrea Lytle Peet was an urban planner, a triathlete and a wife with aspirations of starting a family. In a matter of months, she transitioned from completing Ironman races to relying on a cane, then a walker. Despite the grim prognosis, Andrea refused to surrender to despair. Instead, her resilience and determination led her to undertake a remarkable journey to show life’s challenges can be overcome.

"Go On, Be Brave" documents Andrea's courageous attempt to conquer a marathon in every state, showcasing her unwavering spirit and the steadfast support of her team, including her husband, mother, doctors and friends. Filmed over several years across the United States, the documentary captures the breathtaking beauty of the landscapes Andrea traverses and the harsh realities of ALS she confronts.

“The worst thing to happen in your life does not have to define you.” Andrea Lytle Peet

The film is the first feature-length documentary centered on a woman with ALC and told through the viewpoint of a female director – Miriam McSpadden. Miriam directed the film alongside Brian Beckman, who has a passion for telling marginalized stories. The duo edited the film in only 10 weeks to ensure Andrea could help promote the film.

Through poignant storytelling and stunning cinematography, the film paints a portrait of hope, resilience and the power of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Andrea's journey serves as a testament to the importance of cherishing every moment and embracing life's challenges with courage and determination.

"Go On, Be Brave" is more than a documentary; it's a celebration of life, love and the indomitable strength of the human spirit. Contact us today to book your screening and be part of the movement to raise awareness and support for those affected by ALS.
