Congratulations to the 2025 Oscar Nominees!

The 97th Academy Award nominations were announced on the early morning of Thursday, January 23rd. Leading the pack with 10 nominations each are Wicked and The Brutalist.
Wicked, based on the hit Broadway musical, was nominated for Best Picture, Best Original Score, and earned nods for stars Cynthia Erivo (Best Actress in a Leading Role) and Ariana Grande (Best Actress in a Supporting Role). Meanwhile, A24’s sweeping drama The Brutalist received nominations for Adrien Brody (Best Actor in a Leading Role), Best picture, and Best Director.
Also competing for best picture, Conclave, a gripping drama about Vatican intrigue, has 8 nominations. Neon’s Anora captured six, including Best Picture, Best Director, and a nod for Mikey Madison in the Best Actress category.
Warner Bros.’ epic sequel Dune: Part Two continued its tradition of technical excellence with five nominations, including Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects. Universal’s animated feature The Wild Robot also stood out with three nominations, while Inside Out 2 shined with a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
