Congrats to the 2025 Golden Globe Winners!

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 5. Comedian Nikki Glaser made history as the first solo female to host the televised ceremony.  

A24’s “The Brutalist”* was one of the night’s biggest winners. All in all, the epic period drama won Best Picture-Drama, Best Director for Brady Corbet and the film’s star – Adrien Brody – won his first Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Brody said the film's story is "very reminiscent" of his mother's and his ancestors' "journey of fleeing the horrors of war and coming to this great country."

"I owe so much to my mother and my grandparents for their sacrifice, and although I do not know fully how to express all of the challenges that you have faced and experienced, and the many people who have struggled immigrating to this country, I hope that this work stands to lift you up a bit and to give you a voice. I'm so grateful. I will cherish this moment forever. Thank you."

For Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, the statue went to Sebastian Stan for his role in “A Different Man.”* This was also Stan’s first Golden Globe win.

"Our ignorance and discomfort around disability and disfigurement has to end now," he said in his acceptance speech. "We have to normalize it and continue to expose ourselves to it and our children, encourage acceptance. One way we can do that is by continuing to champion stories that are inclusive."

Kieran Culkin won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his part in “A Real Pain.”

Elsewhere, Warner Bros.’ musical “Wicked” took home the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, “Conclave” for Best Screenplay and “Challengers” for Best Original Score.

"My parents came to this country and loved 'The Wizard of Oz.' They told us about the yellow brick road and a place over the rainbow that all your dreams come true if you dare to dream it," director Jon M. Chu said while accepting the award. "So when I'm up here looking at you, living the dream and looking at this beautiful, beautiful cast, it's more beautiful than I ever thought it could be."
