September Programming Calendar

We’re so excited to be a part of your school programming calendar! There’s no limit to how our movie license can be used in your school to further engage students and their families. Find some of our top picks for pairing new releases and throwback hits with obvious – and not-so-obvious – holiday celebrations below.

Outdoor: National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15)

Honor the history, culture and traditions that define the Hispanic heritage with diverse films that give students new, unique perspectives. For your outdoor event, consider partnering with a Latino organization in your community. Make the event a fundraiser for their organization by offering authentic foods as your concessions, a Latin dance class, and other activities that spotlight Hispanic heritage.

Family Engagement: Grandparent’s Day (September 11)

After grandparents are done visiting with their grandchildren in the classrooms, introduce a bit of easygoing entertainment into your Grandparent’s Day celebration with a movie event. You can host this screening either during the day or as a post-dinner engagement event for the whole family! Consider including a simple add-on activity, like a step-and-repeat photo op to give everyone a small memento to remember their fun-filled day!

Reward Days/Fundraising: National Video Games Day (September 12)

Celebrate this exciting holiday by hosting a video game tournament at your school before your showing! Make sure to include a mix of new and retro games to pique everyone’s interest. And no gaming session is complete without snacks, so level up your event with themed food, like power pellets, rations and health potions.
