Summer Movie Nights Are Now Tradition.

Here's a look at how outdoor summer movie nights have become a popular tradition at the University of Louisville.

The University of Louisville builds a significant amount of activities around their movie nights according to John Drees, Associate Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the university. When they showed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," they offered photos with storm troopers and other characters. In the past, their engineering school brought materials and helped kids build Lego projects as part of the showing of "The Lego Movie."

Outdoor summer movie nights have also become a popular tradition at the university. The series of movies and activities is an excellent way to thank all faculty and staff for their hard work, and it is also a great way to welcome  students, alumni and the whole community to campus. According to Drees, some people actually call weeks in advance so they can plan their calendars around these events.
