March Movie Programming
We’re so excited to be a part of your school programming calendar! There’s no limit to how our movie license can be used in your school to further engage students and their families. Find some of our top picks for pairing new releases and throwback hits with obvious – and not-so-obvious – holiday celebrations below.
Reward Days/Fundraisers:
World Wildlife Day (March 3)
Make this an event your school community can’t wait to attend by setting up DIY craft stations before the movie so kids can transform into a member of the pride or any other animal of their choosing! Supply craft paper, string, glitter and more to ensure their options are endless, and consider having a couple of face painters on hand to really tie their look together!
Family Engagement:
International Day of Happiness (March 20)
Focusing on gratitude is one of the single most effective ways to improve overall happiness, and journaling can help you hone in on the positive things you’re grateful for every day. Help entire families boost their happiness levels by hosting a journaling seminar before a screening of a relevant film. Start off the event with a DIY journal craft so kids and adults can personalize their notebooks, then share tips and tricks for affective mood journaling.
Seasonal: Start of Spring
Create a community garden at your school to celebrate the new season! Gardens bring communities together, teach participants new skills, provide lessons in healthy eating, and help people learn about nature. Improving nutritional literacy is a great added benefit.
