Synopsis
This documentary traces writer Colin Beavan's attempts to live an entire year without harming the planet. He and his family give up electricity, as well as everyday necessities such as toilet paper. Although the new lifestyle strains his marriage at first, Beavan and his wife actually grow closer as the experiment progresses. Directed by Justin Schein and Laura Gabbert, good friends of the Beavans.
