Synopsis

This fictionalized account details the very real issue of inequality in arrests and sentencing for minor drug-related crimes. Sofia is a Latino mother trying to make ends meet by selling pot. Her Black friend Brandon watches over her son Leo while struggling to find work after a minor prison sentence for shoplifting. When John and Tom move into their building, Leo is happy to discover that Tom is his age. But John is a police officer, complicating everyone's lives and interactions.
